Jessie Albert McCoy

Jessie Albert McCoy, age 64, died Sept. 14, 2010, at the Carrington Nursing Center in Starkville.
Mr. McCoy was born in Starkville Sept. 14, 1946, to Dennis Howe McCoy and Audrey Estelle (Wilson) McCoy. He was a 1965 graduate of Starkville High School and a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. He served in the Mississippi National Guard. Mr. McCoy was a truck driver for Bryan Foods for many years. He enjoyed collecting coins, Coca Cola and John Deere items.
Visitation is today at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville from 5 - 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at Oddfellows Cemetery in Starkville, Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at 9:30 a.m.
Survivors include a son, Jason A. McCoy (Angie) of Columbus; and a daughter, Mary Beth Sullivan (William) of West Point; three grandchildren: Myles A. McCoy of Columbus and Isabella and Mary Hannah Sullivan of West Point; one sister, Janet Alford of Kentwood, La.; and one brother, David McCoy of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and also a brother, Dennis Everett McCoy and a grandson, Frost McCoy.
Memorials may be made to Camp Rising Sun, a camp for children who have been or are currently being treated for cancer, P.O. Box 8241, Columbus, MS, 39705-8241.
