Jesse Wayne Peay
May the 26th, 2012 at 5:35 p.m. the "dark angel of death" visited our small happy home and took from us our most precious jewel, Jesse Wayne Peay, one of the noblest and most "Christian Hearted" men of 55 years. Now, that noble heart, throbbing with gentleness, kindness and goodness, has ceased to beat forever, those loving eyes have gazed upon the beauties of this earth for the last time. But, let us try to be comforted, for he is not dead, but fallen asleep in
the arms of Jesus, to awake, on the final day, a shinning angel in heaven. He has passed softly and gently from earth, as flowers yield up their breath in summer. We wept, but ours were not bitter tears, for we believe there was joy in a happy family reunion in heaven. Let us try to give up in submission to God’s will. He is gone but, not forgotten, for he was beloved by all who knew him. When the writer contemplates the sad desolate home, he feels he is joined by a large number of sorrowing friends in sending up an earnest invocation to our divine Father for his tenderest mercies for his only son who survives him. May he so live as to meet his dear father in the gates of New Jerusalem.
Jesse Wayne Peay was born March 17, 1957 in Maben, to Hilda Cloteal Fulgham Peay and Jesse Aubrey Peay. He was a Diesel Mechanic at Bryan Foods and Thompson Machinery, then in his own personal truck shop two years. Jesse Wayne was a member of Pheba Baptist Church. Jesse Wayne Peay married Theresa Lynn White on January 30, 1993, in Clay County. He was a hard working, helpful and honest man. He loved to talk endlessly about his horses. He was a good role model and his sons called him their hero.
