Jean Fowler Sizemore, age 70, passed away, Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at the Sanctuary Hospice
House in Tupelo, Miss.
Jean Fowler Sizemore was born Feb. 28, 1940, in Lexington, Miss., to the late Vladye Edwards and Robert Lloyd Fowler. Mrs. Sizemore was a retired beautician, she began her career with Jean & Margie's Beauty Shop in 1960. She was later employed at the Dugan Memorial Home Beauty shop 32 years. Mrs. Sizemore served on the Clay County School Board for 20 years. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Jean Fowler Sizemore married Floyd Thomas Sizemore Dec, 3, 1955, in Starkville, Miss.
Funeral services are Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Jason Middleton officiating, assisted by Brother Barry Hathcock. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery at Henryville, Miss.. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Tommy Sizemore of Pheba, Miss.; two daughters: Donna "Doopie" Cox (Bill) of Cedar Bluff, Miss., Melissa Wilson (Jimmy) of Mathiston, Miss.; two sons: Floyd Thomas "Sonny" Sizemore of Pheba, Miss., Bill Sizemore (Scarlet) of Clinton, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Jo Gresham (Bruce) of Tupelo, Miss.; two brothers: Jimmy Fowler (Annette) of Laurel, Miss., Tommy Fowler (Sherri) of Cedar Bluff, Miss.; sister in law, Marie Butler of Dallas, Texas; brother and sister in law, Harper and Bobbie Sizemore of Pheba, Miss.; Brother and sisters: Bobby Fowler, Patsy Miller, and Sue Fowler also predeceased her.
Pallbearers are Mitch Brewer, Seth Robinson, Robert Champion, David Blansett, Ray Winfield, Eddie Strickland, Zack Walker, and Larry Walker.
Honorary pallbearers will be North MS Medical Center Stroke Unit, Webster General-Eupora, The Sanctuary Hospice House, Dr. Edmund A. Miller, Jr.
