Janice McClure Bowen Smith

Janice McClure Bowen Smith, age 72, passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at the Care Center of Aberdeen.
Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 18, 1938, to George Daggett McClure and Mae Elizabeth Bradley McClure in West Point. She lived most of her life in Aberdeen and in West Point since 1994. Mrs. Smith graduated from West Point High School and attended MSCW in Columbus. She was a member of Aberdeen First Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Funeral services are Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at 10 a.m. in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. Truman Thompson and Bro. Steve Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Jerald Smith of West Point; one daughter, Julia Bowen Casper (Michael) of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, Nolan Bowen (Shelly) of Caledonia; four grandchildren: Cason Casper, Emily Casper, Bradley Bowen and Anna Kate Bowen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Allen Bowen; and one son, George Landon Bowen.
Visitation is today, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
