James Thomas Garrard Jr.
James Thomas Garrard Jr., age 81, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012, in Hattiesburg.
James Thomas Garrard Jr., was a member of First Baptist Church of Wiggins, and transportation coordinator for Charles Evans Trucking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Garrard was preceded in death by his parents: James Thomas Garrard Sr., and Dicye Carolyn (Gregg) Garrard; and brother, Gene Lionel Garrard.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Garrard of Perkinston; five children: Gwen Garrard of Starkville, James Earl (Emily) Garrard Sr., Amy (Larry) Woodward of Fr. Walton Fla., Robert Christopher Garrard of Hattiesburg, and Timothy L. (Rebekah) Garrard of Wiggins; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Pat (McCahill) Garrard of Starkville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Starkville.
Visitation is Monday, April 23, 2012, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins.
