James A. Clardy

James A. Clardy, 82, passed away, January 24, 2011, at his home near West Point.
James A. Clardy was born February 2, 1928, in Choctaw County, Mississippi, to the late Katie Lou Allen and Lonnie L. Clardy. Mr. Clardy was a Welder at Babcock & Wilcox Company in West Point for 31 years. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Mission and the West Point Masonic Lodge #40 F & AM.
Funeral services will be January 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Sallee
officiating and assisted by Brother Ben Yarber. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery near Mathiston. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Nandra Langley and Judy Clardy both West Point, two sons, Danny Clardy (Diane) of Hamilton and Randy Clardy (Thomasene) of Okolona; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; one sister, Iva Lee (Raymond) of West Point; three brothers, Lester Clardy (Christine) of Maben, Jim Clardy (Betty) of Louisville and Terrell Mannon Clardy (Jean) of West Point. James A. Clardy was also predeceased by Brothers: Lonnie Clardy, T. J. Clardy, Walter Clardy, and by Sister: Mary Lou McMullen.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Cliett, Corey Terry, Stanley Lee, David Estes, Choke Malone, Royce Bigham, and Joe Huffman.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ashley Heflin, Allen Langley, Dustin Clardy, Brandon Clardy, Dr. Andrew Wartak, and the Nurse and Staff of the North Mississippi Hospice .
Memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church, 103 River Oak Drive, West Point, MS 39773.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 - 8 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
