Hospital preps for flu season

In 2012, the Centers for Disease Control reported 22,048 cases of the flu from Sept. 30 through the end of the year. This year, North Mississippi Medical Center is taking precautions early to make sure the community is prepared for the flu season.

Residents of Clay County will be able to receive their flu shots from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 16 at the NMMC Wellness Center. Hospital employees have already received their shots.
