The Hebron Christian Diamond Eagles will start state tournament play tomorrow morning as the No. 2 team out of the North.
They will get things started with a game against the No. 3 team out of the South, in Heidelberg Academy.
The winner of Eagle-Rebel game will go on to play at 4 p.m., on Saturday, against the winner of the Syilva-Bay (No. 1, South)-Kemper (No. 3, North) game.
Hebron enters the overall state tournament in Ridgeland for the first time ever.
They do this coming off a very good North State Tournament in Cleveland last weekend.
During that tourney, Hebron became the first team in five years to defeat the Bayou Academy Lady Colts in North State Tournament play.
That was a 1-0, last at-bat win for the Lady Eagles.
They would later lose to Bayou in the series, but a win against Tri-County Academy put them into tomorrow’s tourney as the No. 2 team in the region.
The Eagles will have seven seniors playing in the tournament.
