Make it 13 in a row to start the season for the Hebron Christian Lady Eagles. On Friday night, the girls took the court against district rival Immanuel, and the Lady Eagles cruised to a 45-31 victory over the Lady Rams to make it a perfect 13-0 start to the season.
In the first two quarters, the Lady Rams were in the ball game, scoring 10 points in the first 16 minutes of play. Hebron, however, was that much better with 27 points in the first two periods, taking a 27-20 lead into the half.
When the two teams came back out, neither side was scoring a lot, but the Hebron defense was keeping Immanuel from mounting any kind of rally.
The Lady Rams scored six points in the third and five more in the fourth. Hebron had nine in each of the last two quarters to secure the win.
Tori Nichols led the Hebron offense once again with 25 points on the night. Cathryn Moore scored 12 points.
Magen Tapley and Hillary Arnold scored three points each, and Beverly Blake put up two points.
The Lady Eagles will be back on the court tomorrow night, hosting the Oak Hill Academy Lady Raiders.
