Hebron girls finish off Carroll in Thursday 54-31 victory

The Hebron Christian Lady Eagles (6-0) are off to a great start in the 2010-2011 season. On Tuesday night, Cathryn Moore helped lead the way to a home opener victory over Starkville Academy.
On Thursday, the Lady Eagles were back home to face Carroll.
This time it was Tori Nichols, the tall junior, who scored 24 points on the Lady Rebels, leading to a 54-31 Hehron victory.
By then end of the first quarter, the Lady Eagles had already put up almost as many points as Carroll would score all night. It was 22-6 Hebron at the end of the opening period.
Nichols and Magen Tapley were leading the offense to the easy win. At half time, the Lady Eagles had amassed a 35-20 lead over the Lady Rebels.
The Lady Eagles would put up 19 points in the final two quarters of the night, holding Carroll to just 11 points.
Tapley would eventually finish the game with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Nichols had 10 rebounds as well.
Hillary Arnold had seven points, eight assists and four rebounds.
Moore had five points and eight rebounds, and Ruth Foster had five points, three rebounds and four steals.
Beverly Blake finished the game with five rebounds.
Hebron will be in Oxford on Tuesday, taking on Regents. All of the action is set to tip off at 4 p.m.
