The only playoff loss for the Hebron Christian Lady Eagles in 2011 was to Sharkey-Issaquena, a team out of the Delta, on Saturday.
The Lady Eagles will get a chance to rebound against another team from that region today, when they face the girls of Delta Academy.
Hebron faces Delta after one of its best defensive battles of the season against Newton on Monday. The Lady Eagles prevailed 45-22 in that game.
The Lady Eagles allowed four points in the first, seven in the second, six in the third and five in the fourth to Newton’s offense.
The Hebron girls were led on offense by senior Cathryn Moore, who put up 18 on the night for the Lady Eagles.
Today, Hebron will be facing a group of girls who put a pouncing on Tallulah Academy on Monday as well.
The Louisiana based team put up just 38 point against a Delta offense that scored 70 in the game.
Marley Anne Schiele led the Delta offense with 23 points. Delta also had two girls who combined for 28 points between them.
Hebron has enjoyed a successful post-season so far, and they are looking to secure a A State title victory at Benton Academy this week.
Today’s game is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.
