An unexpected winter storm formed over the state this week, causing a number of athletic postponements on Thursday night.
Hebron’s two basketball teams were victims of this storm, seeing their district tournament games at Macon canceled due to Thursday ice and snow on the road.
The boys were scheduled to play Kemper Academy at 5 p.m., and the girls were slated to take on Calhoun Academy during the 7 o’clock match. Calhoun defeated Winona to play in the game against a Hebron girls club that had a bye early in the week.
The boys defeated Central on Tuesday night to secure a spot at Central State and the game with Kemper.
Both of the postponed games will be played tonight, starting at 5 p.m. with the boys match.
The girls will play at the regularly scheduled time against the Calhoun girls.
Hebron’s girls come into the game with a 10-0 record in division play, having beaten Calhoun twice already this season.
Hebron’s boys finished up at 6-4 in the district, splitting in their two appearances against the Kemper Rams.
These games will be played at Central Academy in Macon.
