Hebron football concludes preseason camp

August 11, 2014

PHEBA — While classmates were enjoying their final days of summer break, 12 Hebron Christian football players went through two-a-days, preparing for the upcoming season.
Long days on the practice field, executing drills and acclimating to the heat, were the norm for the Eagles four-day, three-night preseason camp at HCS in Pheba. Hebron Head Coach David Foster said he was pleased with his team’s overall effort.
“I thought the preseason camp went really well. Pretty much everybody that participated in camp handled the hot conditions well,” Foster said. “They looked forward to putting pads on by the end of the camp. I had good enthusiasm and great reps in drills throughout the camp.”
Hebron held four practices in T-shirts and shorts on Monday and Tuesday. The final three practices all-day Wednesday and Thursday morning were performed in full gear.
Eagle junior Payton Griffin said the Eagles grew closer as a team during the preseason camp.
