Hebron defeats Delta in overtime

— Will Nations/Daily Times Leader Hebron's Rebekah Falkner holds the basketball to set up a play during a game in the North-Central tournament last Friday at Benton Academy. Falkner scored a team-high 28 points in the Lady Eagles overtime win over Delta Academy in a quarterfinal of the MAIS Class-A State tournament Wednesday in Learned.

LEARNED — Doing the impossible is seemingly what a small, independent school in Clay County is doing at the MAIS Class-A state tournament this week.

After claiming a District 3-A title and the runner-up trophy at the North-Central tournament in the past two weeks, the Hebron Christian Lady Eagles of Pheba remain alive in postseason contention.
