Hebron Christian breaks down Central Academy

MACON — Hebron Christian senior Justin Gordon returned the opening kick off 95 yards to open the scoring flood gates for a strong district rout.
The Hebron Eagles (5-3; 3-0 District 7-A) secured their third shut out of the 2013 season and their highest point total against Central Academy with a 50-0 victory in a MAIS District 7-A eight-man contest Friday on the campus of Central Academy in Macon.
After a tight, overtime victory in week eight against Kemper Academy, Hebron sophomore quarterback Channing Tapley helped his team find some offense with a career night under center. Tapley opened his strong performance with a 15-yard touchdown pass to senior Hayden Carty in the first quarter to give Hebron a 12-0 lead. Tapley and Carty would connect again on a 43-yard touchdown pass in the second-quarter for the signal caller's third touchdown pass. Tapley's second touchdown pass was a 36-yarder to Drew Myatt in the second-quarter, as well. Tapley capped his near-perfect first half with an eight-yard touchdown carry, giving the Eagles a 36-0 lead at halftime.
