Gale P. Smith age 69, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Oktibbeha County Hospital Regional Medical Center, in Starkville.
Gale Smith was born June 14, 1943, in Shiloh Valley, Mo., to the late Ethor June Wootten and Gale Morris Burgess. She was a Sales Associate for K-Mart in Yazoo City for 25 years and was a member of Liverpool Baptist Church in Yazoo City. She enjoyed crafts, music and working her rose garden.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 30, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Bro. Jim Sallee officiating Burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery in West Point.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her two sons, Tim Thompson (Paula) of West Point and Kim Thompson (Eileen) of West Point, her special friend, James Roy Logan of Yazoo City, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Wootten.
Pallbearers are James Thompson, Kreig Thompson, Bobbie Thompson, Walker Thompson, Joseph Wilson, and Chris Coggins.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Charles Hill, Dr. John W. Cox, Bobby Johnson, Quince Stewart, Kim Shaffer, Robbie Koch, Friends from Navistar.
