January 19, 2013

A premier group of Mississippi College students were recently honored for their campus leadership, scholastic excellence and community service. Sixty-seven students out of the 600 eligible were inducted from the Clinton campus into Who’s Who Among Students at American Colleges and Universities.
Among those selected for the 2012-2013 Who’s Who Among Students at American Colleges and Universities recognition was Kristen Fowler of West Point, a Christian Studies major at MC.  Fowler is the daughter of Tim and Ginger Fowler of Batesville. Joining her for the recognition luncheon was her mother and her brother, Kevin Fowler, who lives in Clinton.
“This is an outstanding group and represent the very best of Mississippi College,” says Jim Turcotte, vice president for enrollment management and dean of students.
Dr. Scott Tynes was the keynote speaker at the luncheon held in their honor on November 29th. Dr. Tynes is a physician and the corporate president of Mississippi Family Medicine P.C. in Waynesboro. The 1984 chemistry graduate and former MC student body president was himself a Who’s Who honoree his senior year at Mississippi College.
