First Baptist Church in West Point is working to bring children and parents together in an appreciation for God and reinforcing the family bond through its first ever Fall Family Fest.

The three-day event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 with a just for kids "Hay Day," featuring crafts, games and music with a western motif, which will emphasize growing and the friendship with Jesus. Children's Minister Thea Kay Tribble said the goal was to offer parents a "night out" and teach youths that learning about God could be an exciting and entertaining experience.
