Evelyn Prescott Brewer age 74, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora.
Evelyn Brewer was born April 28, 1938, in Webster County, to the late Iler Beecher Woods and Woodrow Wilson Prescott. Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and a member of Hope Baptist Church. She enjoyed working outside in her flowers. Evelyn Prescott Brewer married Laymon Dale Brewer September 13, 1956, in Pheba,
Funeral services are Sunday, March 3, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church with the Bro. Barry Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, L. D. Brewer of West Point, one daughter, Vicki Brewer McIlwain (Jim) of Cedar Bluff, one son, Phillip Dale Brewer (Shelia) of West Point, nine grandchildren; Bradley Brewer, Rebecca Brewer, Joni McIlwain Cannon, Terri McIlwain Adams, Sara Kate McIlwain, Monty James McIlwain, Magnum Brewer, Colt Brewer, and Luke Brewer, four great grandchildren, Garrett Wayne Cannon, Mattie Grace Adams, Phillip Magnum Brewer and Zephyr Addicus Brewer, eight sisters, Mavis Fisher, Judy Hilhouse (Wallace), Debbie Vickers (Buzz), Brenda Reed (Danny) Sherry Shackelford (Billy) all of Mathiston, Jackie Christopher, Jimmie Cooper (Bootsie) all of Maben, and Melissa Sumner (Danny) of Ackerman and one brother, Lynwood Prescott (Amelia) of West Point. Her brother, Rayburn Prescott, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers are Monty James McIlwain, Jason Cannon, Luke Brewer, Derek Clifford, Sonny Sizemore and Keith Manning.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Charles Ozborn, and Dr. David Booth.
Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Childrens Medical Center, 50 Dunlap Street, Memphis, TN 38103.
Visitation is Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 1:30 - 3 p.m at Hebron Baptist Church.
