Evelyn F. Harbison, age 86, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Waverly Care Home in West Point.
Mrs. Evelyn was born March 14, 1927, in Cullman, Ala., the daughter of the late David Joseph and Evie Miller Farley. She was a homemaker and member of West End Baptist Church. She married Ernest Byron Harbison Sept. 18, 1964, in Cullman, Ala., and he passed away Oct. 19, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by son, Doyal Woods; two grandsons: Michael and Eddie Woods; one great grandson Chris Tedford; three sisters: Hazel Collins, Jewel Still and Cecil Wells; and by three brothers: D.J., Claude and Clifford Farley.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at 1 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R. C. Bryan officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters: Barbara Hamburg, Reba Vest (Bubba), and Ginny Ann Doughty (Dennis) all of West Point: two sons: Jerry Woods (Barbara) of Cullman, Ala., and Donnie Harbison (Rita) of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 18 great - grandchildren; and nine great - great grandchildren; and one brother, Jervis Farley (Sharon) of Cullman, Ala.
Pallbearers were Brian Hamburg, Tim Vest, Gabe Mays, Brad Houser, Zachary Mays, and Bradley Allen.
