Mrs. Earline Edwards of West Point, is pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Yolanda A. Edwards, daughter of the late James Monroe Edwards Sr., to Wavie C. Davenport Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wavie C. Davenport Sr., of Prairie.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Willie and LeAnna Gibson and the late Aaron and Essie Edwards.
She is a graduate of West Point High School and East Mississippi Community College, and holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi.
She is currently employed with the Social Security Administration.
The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Roosevelt and Gertrude Thomas and the late James and James Anna Davenport.
He is a graduate of West Point High School and East Mississippi Community College, and holds a Bachelor's of Science from Mississippi State University.
Wedding vows will be exchanged Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 5 p.m. at the James Trotter Convention Center in Columbus.
