Edward E. “Big Ed” Walker Sr.
Edward Walker Sr., age 69, passed away July 29, 2012, in Meridian.
Mr. Walker was born July 19, 1943, in Ill., to the late Charles C. Walker and Nina Wigginton Walker. Mr. Walker drove a truck for Bryan Foods for 35 years and was a member of the Sons of American Legion, Post #26.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Glenda Walker; a son, Bobby (Trish) Walker; a daughter, Laura Walker (Michael) Bishop; two brothers: Charles Walker of Cave-in-Rock, Ill., and Larry Walker of St. John, Ind.; and a sister, Pat McDowell of Rogers, Ark. Mr. Walker also leaves behind five grandchildren: Cortney Walker, Erin Bishop, Kirsten Bishop, Jordan Bishop, and Jeremy Latty. Mr. Walker is preceded in death by his parents; a son Eddy Walker; a brother Jim Walker; and a sister, Sarah Mae Walker.
A memorial service is set for 6 p.m., Thursday Aug. 2, 2012, at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel in West Point, with Bro. Bill Walker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of donor’s choice.
Robinson Funeral Home in West Point, is in charge of arrangements.
