Eddie Wayne Hester

Eddie Wayne Hester of Mathiston, age 79, passed away Dec. 27, 2011 at his residence.
Eddie Wayne Hester was born Dec. 12, 1932, in Mathiston, to the late Herman and Lela Bollis Hester. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Mathiston First Baptist Church.
Mr. Hester is survived by a son, Tim Hester of Mathiston; a daughter, Deborah Enriquez of Montgomery, Ala.; a sister, Mildred Gary of Eupora; and two grandchildren: Lorenzo and Ariel Enriquez.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Power Hester; two brothers: Joe and Wilfred Hester; and a sister, Lela Bruce.
Funeral services for Mr. Hester were Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. from Wise Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Wade Stevens officiating. Burial followed in Blythe Creek Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Howard Shurden, Butch Stewart, Kenny Vance, Jamie Stidham, Tom Jack Williams, and Chip Oswalt.
Honorary pallbearers were Mr. Hester’s Sunday School class at Mathiston Baptist Church.
Wise Funeral Home in Eupora was in charge of arrangements.
