Eagles win easily, top Winston 56-26

November 9, 2011

In what head coach Tri Nason described as a complete opposite performance from Monday’s season opening victory, the Eagles moved to 2-0 with a commanding 56-26 victory over Winston.

‘I was really happy that they came out and scored early the way they did,” Nason said. “I think the more we play and get used to what we do, it will just prepare us better for down the road.”

After exploding for 24 points in the opening quarter, Hebron slowed off the pace a little bit, but still lead 37-15 at the half. Winston made it a little more competitive in the second half, scoring 11 points to the Eagles 19.

Ben Pearson led the scoring with 19 points, closely followed by Will-Corben Rogers with 12. David Kinard added nine to round out the top scorers.
