The Hebron Christian Eagles (7-2; 1-1) were looking to stay undefeated in district play on Friday night, but they could not score consistently against the Rams, as Immanuel took the league game 44-33.
Carlton Clay, who had scored over 100 points in his last three games, had only three on the night for Hebron.
The Eagles were led in scoring by Will Corbin Rogers, who put up 12 points on the night for the Eagles. David Kinard scored eight, and Kevin Simmons also had three. Taylor Coggins and Chad Smith both scored two points.
The first half featured two really tight quarters, with Immanuel emerging in the first with an 11-8 lead.
In the second, Hebron reversed that with a 14-9 quarter, taking a 22-20 lead into the half.
In the final two quarters, Hebron could not get much going on offense, scoring five in the third and just six in the final eight minutes. They gave up 24 points in the final two quarters to Immanuel.
The Eagles will be trying to get back on the winning side tomorrow night, as they welcome in Oak Hill Academy.
