Eagles and Rams enter district match with offensive struggles

The Hebron Christian Eagles (1-6; 0-1) are coming into tonight’s ball game with the Rams of Immanuel (3-5; 0-1) having spent the first seven games of the season struggling on offense.
The Eagles have managed to score only as many as 20 points twice this season, going 1-1 in those games.
This week, they will be facing a three-win team, but the good news for the Eagles is that the Rams have had their struggles scoring touchdowns as well.
Immanuel opened the season with a 41-6 loss to Hatley. That was followed by a 28-14 loss to Central Academy.
They finally got three scores against Carroll Academy, but lost the game 35-21. In game four, they finally broke out of their offensive slump with a 51-point performance in a win against Calhoun Academy.
That propelled them into their first district game, against Winona. That contest did not go so well for the Rams, as they were shut out 28-0.
Back-to-back wins followed over North River Christian and Houlka, but the Rams only scored 14 in the latter of the two games.
A 46-8 loss to Heidelberg, last week, puts the Rams in a very similar spot as the Eagles. Both have had their struggles scoring points, and keeping opponents off the board. More importantly, they are both 0-1 in district play.
The two will be trying to keep their playoffs hopes alive tonight, as they face off at Steens. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
