DTL football wrap up

Lafayette Wales rushed for 238 yards and five touchdowns in Canton Academy’s second district win over Oak Hill, 49-14, in a MAIS District 2-AA contest in Canton.
Wales averaged nine yards per carry as the Panther offense rushed for 391 yards on the ground. Senior Kraft McLean rushed 11 times for 98 yards and scored the two other Canton rushing touchdowns.
Canton (6-3; 2-2 District 2-AA) led Oak Hill by halftime, 28-6. The Panthers did not slow down in the second-half scoring 21 points en route to a 49-14 win.
The Oak Hill Raiders (5-4; 2-2 District 2-AA) struggled on the road following a signature win over Indianola Academy (14-7) in week eight of the MAIS regular season in West Point.
