Dorothy Jean Kerr

Dorothy Jean Kerr age 87, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at her home in West Point.
She was born March 6, 1925, in Jonesboro, Ark,, to the late Lottie Beatrice Johnston Kerr and John Brice Kerr.
Dorothy Jean Kerr was preceded in death by her siblings, Martha Eileen Addkison, Julia Elizabeth Kerr, and John Brice Kerr.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Kerr Botsford of Benton, Ark., seven nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Kerr graduated from West Point High School in 1941, and from Mississippi State College for Women in 1945. She received her Master’s degree from Mississippi State in 1955. She taught high school mathematics for 41 years in Mississippi, New Mexico, and Utah, retiring in 1985. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, EPC, West Point.
Funeral services are Sunday, January 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, EPC, with the Rev. Steve Davis officiating. The body will lie at the church from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, West Point.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers are Brice Kerr, Jim Kerr, Rick Daniel, Ryan Daniel, Rhett Daniel, Wade Willmott, Cameron Beyers, Joe Salmon, and Randy Simmons.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. T. N. Braddock, Frank Autry, Billy Faye Simmons, Jake Garrett, and Lamar Powers.
