Dorothy Dean Walters
Dorothy Dean Walters, age 52, passed away March 2, 2012, at her residence, in Saltillo.
Dorothy Dean Walters was born Feb. 9, 1960, in Starkville, to Myrtle Stone O'Rourke and the late Tommie Nation. She was a customer service person and was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Her husband Carl Walters preceded her in death May, 1992.
Funeral services were Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Brother Frank Breaux officiating assisted by Brother Lynn Hughes. Burial followed in Big Springs/Enon Cemetery in Clay County.
Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include daughter, Chastity Cherubin (Wendell) of Columbia, S.C.; son, C. W. Walters (Mary Hodges) of Pheba; one grandaughter, Ainsley Cherubin; her mother Myrtle Stone O'Rourke of Saltillo, one sister, Katherine Wright of Henryetta, Olka.; one brother, Danny Nation of Pontotoc. Those preceding in death were her daughter, Charity Walters; half brothers: Jimmy Nation and Ricky Nation.
Pallbearers were Chris Fox, Johnny Hancock, John Lancanster, Benny Borst, Ben Cliett, Charles Thornton, Ray
Emmons, Lonnie W. Brand.
Honorary pallbearers were Terry Hoggy, Dr. Charles Montgomery, Dr. Will Edmmundson, Dr. Roger Williams, Dr. Chris Bell.
