Last week’s win over Winston Academy was huge for the Diamond Raiders of Oak Hill Academy.
The Lady Raiders gutted out a one-run victory that kept their playoff hopes alive.
They are going to be trying to stay in the post-season hunt this evening, as they face off against the Lady Mavericks of Manchester Academy, at home.
The playoff chances are still faint, but they are there, and the Lady Raiders can still make it in if all of the cards fall in the right places.
The Lady Raiders gave away their last game in the final at-bat against Manchester on August 23.
They were up 2-0 throughout the game.
However, the last inning proved to be the worst for Oak Hill, as they gave up three in the ultimate loss.
Tonight, they will be trying to right things against the Yazoo City based team.
Oak Hill has played well at times this season, but in conference play they have not been able to get the key wins to keep them in the hunt.
The Lady Raiders are hoping that win against Winston on Thursday will be just what they need to go on a much-needed conference win streak.
Tonight’s game will start at 4 p.m.
That will be the A-Game, and it will be followed immediately by the B-Game, scheduled for 5:30.
