Deputy clerk retires after 17 years service

September 17, 2013

The Board of Supervisors room at the Clay County Courthouse was filled to overflowing with well-wishers who had come to say goodbye to Susan Plunkett after 17 years as deputy clerk for the Clay County Circuit Court office. Court employees, county supervisors, friends and family brought food and gifts for a surprise party in Plunkett’s honor.

“This was such a surprise, I had no idea my friends would go to this much trouble,” said Plunkett. “I can’t thank everyone enough for what they’ve done. I’m going to miss everyone I’ve worked with. You couldn’t ask for a better people than the ones here.”
