Clay County hoop teams in action

Basketball season is in full-force as all three Clay County schools are in action.
The West Point Green Wave squares off against the Neshoba Central Rockets at 7:30 tonight. The Rockets eliminated the Wave from the opening round of the Class-5A playoffs last season. West Point seeks its first win of the season after losses to Starkville and Tupelo. The Lady Wave (1-1) and the Lady Rockets tip off the varsity doubleheader at 6.
Oak Hill starts a two-game homestand tonight. The Lady Raiders (7-3), who have won three straight, tilt against the Heritage Lady Patriots and open the varsity doubleheader at 6. The Raiders (1-3) have lost two straight and battle the Heritage Patriots at the conclusion of the girls' game.
In Pheba, the Hebron Christian Lady Eagles and Eagles square off against Starkville Christian. The three-game slate tips off at 5 p.m. on the campus of Hebron Christian School.
