Clay County 2013-14 budget finalized, set for adoption

The 2013-2014 budget for Clay County has been finalized by the Clay County Board of Supervisors. On Wednesday, the board met to look through the budget and will hold a hearing on Sept. 13 to adopt the budget.

The millage rates from last year’s budget have either increased or decreased, based on “needs,” Clay County Chancery Clerk Amy Berry said.

A millage of $1.00 was added to this year’s budget for East Mississippi Community College’s Capital Campaign.
