Clarice Ila Trull Boykin age 93, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
Ila Boykin lived at the North Mississippi Health Services Long Term Care in Eupora.
She was born June 20, 1919, in Clay County. Ila Boykin was a member of Mathiston First Baptist Church and an Eastern Star. She was an avid gardener and loved sharing her bounty with her friends and relatives. Her greatest accomplishment in life was her family, whom she held close to her heart. She will be forever known as the most beautiful, caring and giving person God could create. To know Ila Boykin, was an absolute true blessing.
Funeral services are Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home. Rev. Randall Poss will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Adaton United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today, Wednesday, March 13, 2013, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville.
Ila Boykin was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Trull and Carrie Buckner Trull, husband, William Anton Boykin, Sr., sons, Lonnie Joe Boykin and Danny Ray Boykin, step daughters, Mary Lou Tuck and Bonnie Ruth Smith, grandsons Charles Hugh (Chuck) Shurden, Bill Smith, and Lane Blankenship. sisters, Ina Reed, Ileene Johnson and Ileese Kelly and brothers, James Trull and Carlton Trull. She is survived by her seven children, sons William Anton “Tony” Boykin (Winnie), Larry Glenn “Butch” Boykin (Sandra), Kenny Paul Boykin, and Clanton Boykin (Susie), daughters, Faye Byram, Brenda Bond (Troy) and Elaine Turner (Raymond). She is also the beloved grandmother of eighteen beautiful grandchildren of whom she was so very proud of and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
