City water and sewer rates to increase

The West Point Board of Selectmen voted in favor of increasing water sewer rates inside the city limits at a special meeting Monday.
Beginning in October, residential water inside the city limits will increase from $23 to $30 for the first 2,000 gallons used. Commercial water will increase from $27 to $30. Rates outside the limits and more than 2,000 will remain the same as last year.
Residential sewer rates will increase from $17 for the first 2,000 gallons to $21. Over 2,000 gallons will increase from $3 to $3.10. Commercial rates will remain the same as last year.
