The West Point Board of Selectmen approved it's budget for the 2017 fiscal year after a public hearing Tuesday night at City Hall. The city’s general fund was expected to increase to $8,106,860 in revenue, up from last year’s $8,008,053. The board also approved water and light department, parks and recreation and public works budgets. Ward 4 Selectman Keith McBrayer said the new budget would not entail a millage increase, or any rate increases for utilities. See Thursday's Daily Times Leader for more.
