The West Point Main Street Association Christmas Pop Up Shops and Ladies Night Out is from 6 - 9 p.m. tonight at the Ritz Theater and Conference Center. This is the first event of this type sponsored by the Main Street Association. All proceeds benefit the ongoing beatification projects in West Point. Tickets are $30, and may be purchased from any member of the Main Street Association or at the door.

"The fundraiser should be a lot of fun, and offer a lot of different gift ideas," Lisa Klutts, director of the Growth Alliance said. "There are so many different vendors bringing their one - of - a - kind items."
Klutts suggested those attending plan to pay with cash or checks. She said there may be vendors who are able to accept debit and credit cards, but not everyone will be able to accept that form of payment.
Klutts said it should be a fun event to socialize, talk to friends and do some Christmas shopping

"There will be a lot available from the creative talents of the Main Street Association members," Kathy Dyess of the Main Street Association said. "We are all making hand crafted items to sell. Almost everyone brings som talent to the table. We've been meeting a Deborah Mansfield's Decorative Painting to work on crafts to sell. Everything will be very reasonably priced."
Dyess said the $30 ticket price will cover food and one beverage. She said there will be wines and non-alcoholic beverages available.
"There will be a cash bar," Dyess said. "When women get together we do enjoy a little wine. It will be a night of fun and shopping to benefit the Main Street Association."
Dyess said every vendor will donate at least one door prize. She said they have 13 vendors coming along with the crafts created by the members of the Main Street Association. The goal is to sell 200 tickets

"This will be come and go shopping," Lisa Klutts said. "There will be painted art, pottery, candles, men's gift baskets, mini massages and mini make - overs, leather bags, all kinds of things that will make great gifts, even for ourselves."
Klutts said it will be worth the price of admission to have the items available at a special event price.

"Not all door prizes will be from the vendors," Klutts said. "Some will be from items created by the Main Street Association. So those who come have a good chance to win a very nice item free as a door prize."
