West Point’s annual Christmas open house saw the holiday shopping season kick off in downtown stores on Sunday afternoon.
West Point-Clay County Growth Alliance Director Lisa Klutts said that more than 10 local shops participated in the event, which had a “Downtown and Around Town” theme.
“Most of these stores aren’t typically open on Sunday, so it gave people the chance to come out who aren’t normally able to,” Klutts said. “The weather was great and people came out and had a good time.”
Downtown stores open for the event included Rose Drug Store, Shendopen, Petal Pushers, Wisteria, Accessories on Main, Deborah Mansfield Decorative Painting and Bits n’ Pieces. “Around Town” stores open for the event will be Flowers by Shirley, Jubilations Cheesecake, Mossy Oak, Outdoor Gear and Just for Ladies.
