Carolyn Pryor Wenzel

Carolyn Pryor Wenzel, 83, passed away in Hot Springs, Ark., February 7, 2014.
A private memorial service will be held in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
She is survived by Emmett Buford and her five children: Anita Pryor Mayer of Portland, Ore., Melanie Pryor Olson of Portland, Ore., Roger Alan Pryor of West Point, Jan Pryor Cressman of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Jim Pryor of Columbus.
Mrs. Wenzel had eleven grandchildren and one great - granddaughter. She is survived by one sister, Rebecca McCharen Cohen, and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Wenzel was born in Oxford, the daughter of Charles Abner and Bess Gray McCharren. She was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women. Mrs. Wenzel was West Point’s first Miss Hospitality and spent her life as a homemaker, artist and minister of the Unity Worldwide Ministries.
