Several bar and nightclub owners came to the meeting of the Clay County Board of Supervisors to discuss the impact the county curfew is having on their businesses. With the curfew at 10 p.m. the businesses must be empty by 9:30 p.m. to allow for cleaning and closing of the establishments. All of the owners were in agreement it is time to end the curfew and allow adults to make their own decisions about how late to be out.
"I'm Joey Lane, the owner of Backwoods Bar in Mantee, in Clay County," Lane said. "I want to talk about the economic impact of COVID and the county-wide curfew.
