Bulldogs win Starkville Regional – Headed to Charlottesville Super Regional to take on #6 Wahoos

The Diamond Dawgs struck early and often in the elimination Championship Game of the Starkville Regional Monday night, defeating the feisty Central Arkansas Bears by a score of 6-1 to claim the championship and advance to the Super Regionals. With the victory, the 9th ranked Bulldogs (46-18) will now advance to Charlottesville, Virginia, to face the #6 national seed University of Virginia Cavaliers (50-10). The Wahoos swept through their Regional over the weekend and advanced to host the Super Regional by defeating Elon College by a score of 11-3 on Sunday to pick up their 50th win of the season.
