Bonnye Jo Hagler Kenney

Bonnye Jo Hagler Kenney age 90, of Huntsville, Ala., passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at home with her family at her bedside.
Mrs. Kenney was a longtime member of Mayfair Church of Christ. Bonnye Kenney graduated from West Point High School in 1941. Her career at Redstone Arsenal began August 7, 1952, and ended with her retirement December 30, 1983. She was Chief of Disbursing Branch, Finance and Accounting Division.
Bonnye was preceded in death by her father, Roy Hagler, her mother Emma Whitaker Hagler, grandfather James Rober Whitaker and grandmother Martha Ellett Whitaker, all of New Hope, her brothers, William Earnest McDonald of Huntsville, and Ray M. Hagler of Atlanta, and nephew, Jimmie G. Herrin Jr., of Huntsville.
Survivors include daughter, Cheryl Kenney McLemore of Huntsville, grandchildren, Valerie LeJane Berryhill Davis (Russ), Kaitlyn Leigh McLemore and Roger C. Berryhill, all of Huntsville, great-grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Berryhill of Huntsville, and Laykin Brown of Sheffield, sisters, Robbie Jayne Hagler and Betty Hagler Herrin, both of Huntsville, and Judith Ray Hagler Aguilar (Armando) of Hereford, N.C., nephews, Dr. Mark Thomas Herrin (Jeana) of Charleston, S.C., and Roger Scott Herrin (Kristin) of Huntsville, and great-nephews, David Hitt, Jonathan Hitt (Erin) and Matthew Hitt, all of Huntsville.
A graveside service was held Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Maple Hill Cemetery with William Hitt Jr., officiating.
Laughlin-Service Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., was in charge of arrangements.
