Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS) posted a third quarter profit of 16 cents per share, beating prior guidance for a range of 4 to 7 cents. And consolidated same store sales increased 1.9%, versus guidance for a 4 to 6 percent decline.

Jobless Claims Flat for Week Ending November 14
Thursday, 19 November 2009
Initial jobless claims for the week ending November 14 were flat as compared to the previous week, at 505,000. The four-week average of initial claims dropped 6,500 to 514,000, the lowest level since November of last year.
