In midday trading Wednesday, Luxury Goods shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.2%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Fuqi International (FUQI), off about 35.4% and shares of AT Cross (ATX) off about 1.3% on the day.

This morning, FUQI International (FUQI) shares plunged after the company said accounting errors caused it to overstated its profit for the first nine months of 2009. These errors have forced the company to delay its annual report for 2009 and investors were not happy with the news.
