April Circuit Court Term Begins Today

The Clay County Circuit Court April term begins Monday with many cases to be heard during the term, including multiple drug charge cases, burglary cases, aggravated assault cases and the case of Robert Rupert, who is accused of killing Roosevelt Pernell and shooting Cedric Pernell.
The following cases will be heard in Clay County Circuit Court on Monday, April 4 through Wednesday, April 6:
• State v. Travis Weatherspoon, who is charged with domestic violence and burglary of a dwelling
• State v. Latrai Spraggins, who is charged with statutory rape
• State v. Michael Keith, who is charged with manufacture of methamphetamine
• State v. Lucinda Cunningham, who is charged with identity theft
• State v. Kandy Marie Swindle, who is charged with possession of methamphetamine/child abuse and conspiracy
• State v. Antwjuan Terry, who is charged with aggravated assault
• State v. Derick Holmes, who is charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon
• State v. Jeremy Scott Smithey, who is charged with burglary of a building
• State v. Cedric Collins, who is charged with uttering forgery
• State v. Armond Walker, who is charged with dog fighting
• State v. Christopher Blair, who is charged with dog fighting
• State v. Gustavus Shaw, who is charged with fondling/sexual battery
• State v. Reginald Dyson, who is charged with burglary/larceny of a dwelling
• State v. Arnold Beckley, who is charged with armed robbery and burglary of a dwelling
• State v. Robert Sykes, who is charged with possession of the controlled substance cocaine
• State v. Amber Pee, who is charged with conspiracy/possession of methamphetamine
• State v. Shontessa M. Lightener, who is charged with possession of meth precursors
• State v. George Ballard, who is charged with possession of the controlled substance cocaine
• State v. Michael O. Fort, who is charged with possession of promethazine with codeine
• State v. Eddie Hagan, who is charged with uttering forgery
• State v. Mark Brown, who is charged with possession of methamphetamine and manufacturer of methamphetamine
• State v. Mary Webb, who is charged with possession of the controlled substance cocaine
• State v. Zaccheaus M. Vassar, who is charged with statutory rape
• State v. Calvin Robinson, who is charged with possession of the controlled substance cocaine
• State v. Josh “Calvin” Robinson, who is charged with five counts of the sale of cocaine
• State v. Robert Bell, who is charged with grand larceny
• State v. Steve Ewell, who is charged with possession of the controlled substance cocaine
• State v. Patrick Davis, who is charged with aggravated assault
• State v. Nicky Clemmer, who is charged with prescription forgery
• State v. Edward Dobbs, who is charged with malicious mischief
• State v. Laboris Gunn, who is charged with statutory rape
• State v. David Hopson, who is charged with burglary of an auto
• State v. Victor Gibson, who is charged with possession of the controlled substance cocaine
• State v. Ethan Sherill, who is charged with manufacture of methamphetamine
• State v. Harvey Young, who is charged with possession of the controlled substance marijuana
