Anna Dell Edwards McCary

Anna Dell Edwards McCary, age 88, passed away, on Monday, January 28, 2013, at West Point Community Living Center, in West Point. Mrs. McCary was born November 2, 1924, in Crawford, Miss., to the late Eva Upton and John Edwards. She was a Homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church. Anna Dell Edwards McCary married Harry Lester McCary April 25, 1940, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1998.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rever. Dale Funderburg officiating.   Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Cemetery in West Point.  Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Eva Landis (Joe) of Ooltewah, Tenn; one son, Larry McCary of West Point; one granddaughter, Michelle Rogers (Dave); two great grandsons, Austin Rogers and Morgan Rogers; two sisters, Mildred Norwood of Birmingham, Ala, and Mary Ann James of Laurel; one brother, Wilson Edwards of Columbus; and her daughter in law, Ruth Peay McCary of West Point. Her son, Paul McCary, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Andy Naugle, Lonnie Peeples, Benny Edwards, John Ingram, Robert “Red” Rhea, and Floyd McKee.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Searcy, Charles Hill, members of the Progressive Sunday School Class, and members of the Adult III Men’s Sunday School Class, the Staff at West Point Nursing Home, and the Staff of Community Hospice.
Memorials may be made to Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, 800 Avery Blvd, Suite 100, Ridgeland, MS 39157-5225.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 until 2:00 service time at Calvert Funeral Home.
