Ann Applewhite, 89, passed away, Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.
Ann Langley Applewhite was born Mar. 8, 1921, in Thorn, Miss., to the late Ella Alford and James Franklin Langley.  Mrs. Applewhite was a retired Realtor for Golden Triangle Realty and was a member of First Baptist Church. Ann Langley Applewhite married John Thomas Applewhite Sr. on June 5, 1947, in West Point.
Funeral services are Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Funderburg officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters: Martha A. Carr (Glenn) of Collierville, Tenn., Cathy R. Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; two sons; John Thomas Applewhite, and Robert F. Applewhite both of West Point; two grandchildren: Kris Hughes and  Thomas Johnson; three great grandchildren: Avery Hughes, Ayrington Hughes and Jacob Johnson; one sister, Evelyn Miller of West Point. Nine brothers and sisters preceded Mrs. Applewhite in death.
Pallbearers are Thomas Johnson, Kris Hughes, R. B. Davis, Jimmy Miller, Dwight Prisock, and Glenn Carr.

Visitation is Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 from noon until 2 p.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
