Allen, Wooten Engagement
Judge and Mrs. Thomas Wilsford Allen, of Lyon, Miss., are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Martha Elizabeth Allen, to Matthew Evans Wooten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robley Evans Wooten Jr., of West Point, Miss.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Isaac Clark and the late Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Maddox Allen.
She is a 2001 graduate of Lee Academy, a 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama with degrees in Interior Design and Art History and a 2008 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Masters degree in Architecture. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority.
She was employed previously by the Growth Alliance-A Main Street Association. She will go to work for Community Counseling Services in January.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robley Evans Wooten Sr., of West Point, Miss., Mrs. Mildred Stubbs McCreary of Cleveland, Miss., and the late Mr. Eugene Marion McCreary.
He is a 1998 graduate of Oak Hill Academy, a 2002 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelorâ€™s degree in Business Administration. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
He is currently employed by Aberdeen Machine Works, Inc., a family owned metal fabrication company.
Wedding vows will be exchanged Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, at 6 p.m. at Patten Chapel on the University of Tennessee Chattanooga Campus and the Bluff View Arts District. Immediate family and close friends will be in attendance.
A reception will follow the ceremony.
