A.K. Tribble

A.K. Tribble, age 89, of West Point, died Friday June 17, 2011, at West Point Community Living Center.
A.K. Tribble was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Cedar Bluff, to the late Leona Williams and A. K. Tribble Sr. He served in the USMC 6th Marine Division and was a veteran of WWII. He was a business man and former owner of West Point Flower Shop. Mr. Tribble was a member of First Presbyterian Church, EPC and a Mason, Masonic Lodge # 40.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011, at First Presbyterian Church, EPC with Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Bluff Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Mathews, Van Williams, Billy Shirley, Sonny Sizemore, Wayne Hindman, Mike Croft, Rex Croft and Wally McGee. Honorary pallbearers were John Johnston, James McLemore, Tom Green and W. V. Southern.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Brown Tribble; two sons: Bill Tribble and Andy Tribble of West Point; two nieces: Mildred Noland of Steens, Nona Beth Croft of Cedar Bluff.
