"Snow Down" Senior Party for Oak Hill Seniors

A “Snow-Down” Party

Oak Hill Academy Seniors, Ross Billington, Abby Falkner, and Mackenzie Hemphill, were treated to a “Snow-Down” Senior Party Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, hosted by Stanley, Claire and Anna Claire Spradling at their home. “Let it Snow!” signs lined the driveway and let the young people to a snow-coated hill where they zoomed down on sleds, boogie boards and snow saucers. The group went into a white-draped igloo for a spirited snowball fight. A campfire and hot chocolate warmed party attendees. Guests enjoyed sausage rolls, ham pinwheels, hot creamy spinach dip on crustini, guacamole and corn chips, apple slices and caramel dip, snowflake sugar cookies, fudge brownies and pretzels dipped in white and brown chocolate, sprinkled with blue sugar crystals or tiny white snowballs. Snowmen or snow-themed favors were given to guests. Honorees received decorative snowmen boxes stuffed with plush black throws, monogramed in blue with their names and with a uniquely designed snowflake. Special guest were Dr. Bill and Debbie Billington, Bert and Sharon Falkner and Tricia Hemphill, parents of the seniors.
